Welcome to the IU ACM Chapter

The Association for Computing Machinery is the world's largest society of information technology students and professionals. The Indiana University Student Chapter of the ACM represents the needs of the IU computing community.

Chapter membership is open to all Indiana University students, faculty, and staff with an interest in computing and technology. From offices and committees, to IU ACM sponsored lectures and activities, to the establishment of local Special Interest Groups, there are many ways for you to get involved.

Join us for the
ACM Memorial and Reception
Dr. Rob Kling
"The Father of Social Informatics"

When: Wednesday April 25th 4:00pm - 5:30pm Location: SLIS LI001 - Wells Library
Refreshments will be provided following the panel by the IUB ACM Student Chapter.


The IUB Association of Computing Machinery Student Chapter will be holding a panel and reception in memory of Rob Kling ( During the first hour a panel of Rob's peers will discuss their memories and the contributions Rob has made to Indiana University. The panel will be immediatly followed by a short reception with refreshments from 5:00 - 5:30 from which (weather permitting) participants will be asked to take part in a walk to a bench and tree deticated to Rob's memory for a moment of silence.
